Uh, okay, so I’m screaming internally, and here’s why.

I recall “Somnambulist” being an episode I didn’t really care for in my original days of Angel mania. So maybe that’s why I didn’t remember the plot at all (except for Angel having dreams). So when I went to watch it tonight, I was just like, “Yay, the Jeremy Renner episode, haha, I’ve been aware of his existence for years and didn’t realize” blah blah blah.

I DIDN’T REMEMBER THAT HE WAS A PART OF ONE OF THE CLASSIC, CHEESY ANGEL FLASHBACKS.

I didn’t even remember that his character was a vampire. So seeing him in the Whedonverse vamp makeup gave me all sorts of fangirl tingles.

Do you think he and Joss reminisced about it while they were working on The Avengers? Has anyone brought it up in interviews? “So you worked with Joss 13 years ago, who was a tougher fight, David Boreanaz or Scarlett Johansson?”
